Learning about the Catholic faith is an on-going experience. With our growth in age and additional responsibility we need to grow in our role as disciples to deepen our relationship with God. Under the guidance of Carole Obrokta, the Director of Religious Education, opportunities are provided throughout the year for adults to continue on their own faith journey and to help them, as parents and primary educators, to guide their children in their religious formation.
Parents who are planning to have a child baptized at St. Bede’s Church are required to attend a Pre-Jordan class. These classes are offered on the second Sunday of every month. You are asked to meet with a priest to register for the class and to arrange for the Baptism.
Sacramental Preparation Meetings
Recognizing that parents are the primary educators of their children, an evening is planned prior to the reception of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Parents are required to attend these meetings during the time their child is preparing to receive these sacraments. The purpose of these meetings is to help the parents become more involved in their child’s preparation for these sacraments as well as their continued spiritual formation.
The following on-going Adult Formation classes are offered throughout the year. Please see the bulletin for additional opportunities.
