Divine
Mercy

Divine Mercy is the name of the devotion to the greatest attribute of God, His infinite Love and Mercy. Throughout the Old Testament, the prophets and kings extolled God’s Mercy, “His Mercy endures forever.” Our time in history especially requires this extraordinary devotion. Pope John Paul II said, “Humanity will not find peace until it turns faithfully to Divine Mercy.”
Devotion to the Divine Mercy is celebrated in our parish every week at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings.

Stations of
The Cross
StationsoftheCross2

From the earliest times Christians have retraced the footsteps of Jesus on the way to Calvary. We relive the passion of our Lord believing that the way of the cross, led not only to Christ’s death, but to new life eternal.
It is with faith and hope we retrace these steps to the Resurrection, and to the redemption of the world.
We pray; “We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you, because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

Forty
Hours
StBedes40_Hours_32

The Forty Hours Devotion is an opportunity to gather as a community before the Blessed Sacrament and to pray before the Lord in solemn adoration. It gives us time to deepen our  appreciation of the importance of the mystery of the Eucharist in our lives. Traditionally at St. Bede Church, it begins with the celebration of Mass on Sunday and concludes on Tuesday night. The next Forty Hours Devotion at St. Bede Church will begin on Sunday Oct. 1, 2023 and conclude on Tuesday Oct. 3, 2023.

Rosary
Group
Rome Italy, June 18, 2017 : A Woman prays the rosary before the beginning of the celebration of the Holy Mass prior to the Corpus Domini procession from St. John at the Lateran Basilica to St. Mary Major Basilica to mark the feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, in Rome.

There are many opportunities to gather and recite the Rosary, the prayer that helps us to meditate on the lives of Jesus and His Holy Mother. Our Lady, Herself gave us this wonderful prayer. Even though the Rosary can be recited in private, it is wonderful to pray the Rosary as a community prayer and if recited in a church, special indulgences are gained. Please come join us in prayer as we thank and praise God while asking for our special intentions.
