Knights of Columbus Council 15478
In June 2012, The Knights of Columbus established a Council at St Bede the Venerable.
We offer a Catholic, Fraternal, Social, and Charitable organization as based on the principles founded in 1882 by Fr. Michael McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut. The Knights of Columbus has over 1.5 million members throughout the world. There are four degrees in the order, representing virtues of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.
General Council meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM in the Drexel Center of St. Bede the Venerable. For additional information please contact our Grand Knight, Ralph Bonadies at 267-475-5071 or by email at email@example.com. You can also find out more information at the group’s website: https://sites.google.com/site/stbedekofc/
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to Catholic men, 18 years of age or older who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Applications are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus. Acceptance of the applicant depends upon a vote of the members of the council in which he is making application. The applicant becomes a member by initiation known as the First Degree. He subsequently can advance through the Second Degree and the Third Degree. There is also an insurance privilege available to all members who qualify. Our Council and all of the Knights Councils share the same bond in that we unselfishly give of our time and talents in service of God, country and our parish community.
It offers the opportunity for fellowship with those who are of the same belief, who recognize the same duty to God, to family and to neighbor and who stand side by side in defense of those beliefs. Programs are so organized as to appeal to the individual interest of the members.
Thank you for consideration and please contact us today so we can begin the steps to having you join our Council. We would very much like you to join and we know that we can accomplish much more with you as a member.
The Knights of Columbus has a proud heritage. Come share in that heritage and build an even greater future with Council 15478 at St Bede the Venerable.
