Our Parish Office is closed to foot traffic until further notice.
However, from 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to
Friday, someone from the Parish Office will be answering phone calls and to assist parishioners with their needs
and questions. As always, in case there is a real emergency situation
requiring the assistance and presence of a priest, you are to dial the
emergency number (215-962-3980), and somebody will respond to you as
quickly as possible.
Welcome to St. Bede the Venerable Parish, and to our website. On behalf of Father O’Donald and our entire parish staff, I greet you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
St. Bede the Venerable Parish was founded in 1965 by Cardinal John Krol, to serve the Catholics in Northampton Township, and beyond. We are a very large parish, consisting of almost 3,200 households and 11,000 registered parishioners. However, when people come and visit us, they always sense a great feeling of community warmth here. St. Bede is truly a caring parish. We are large enough to have all of the services to our community that a large parish would have, but we’re small enough to feel true family spirit among our parishioners.
I have been pastor of this parish since 2005, and I am continually edified by the faith of our people, and their close relationship with Jesus Christ.
As you browse through this website, I hope you will sense the vitality and vibrancy of this great faith community. I hope that our website provides the information you are seeking, and leads you to the person or organization that will lead you closer to Christ and His Church. Always keep in mind that we priests are readily available to serve you in person. Never hesitate to contact us.
The parish celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015. Saint Bede Church is an enduring monument to the faith of our people. It has been built by their vision, sacrifice and prayers. I invite you to visit our church and join us in worshiping God.
With prayers that God will bless you and your family, I remain,
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Reverend Monsignor John C. Marine
